Requiem For WenChuan Earthquake Anniversary

I was invited to attend the Charity Concert for Wenchuan Earthquake Anniversary the day before last. It’s a Symphony Orchestra Concert performed Giuseppe Verdi’s Requiem. The concert successfully raised 730 thousands RenMinBi for Earthquake disaster area.

It Always Rains On Qingming Day

April 5 is Qingming Festival. It’s a very important day as Chinese tradition. It is a day to remember and honor one’s ancestors, National heroes, And people who died undeserved.
I made a video for Qingming Festival, But I can’t visit Youtube still now, And I couldn’t visit my blog for some days. I must say sorry to all my friends for the delay reply. And thanks so much for your support.

Typical Country House Of MianZhu

I always love to see these typical country houses of Mianzhu, With Chinese new year painting on the wall.
Though some of these houses were hurt badly because of WenChuan earthquake, But most of them were repaired and repainted for the new spring festival.

Strolling At MianZhu New Year Painting Market

2009 MianZhu New Year painting festival is opened during new spring festival. So you can find some New year painting markets at MianZhu. Influenced by WenChuan earthquake, The market seems not busy as I hope. But it better for strolling around.

First Chinese New Spring Festival At Temporary Home After WenChuan Earthquake

I visited MianZhu the day before yesterday.
There were 11,117 people died & 80% houses collapsed at Mianzhu because of 512 WenChuan Earthquake. More than half a million people there lost their homes, Including my parents and neighbors.
Let’s see how they celebrate their first new spring festival after earthquake at their temporary home. SiChuan people are so tough and optimistic.

Enjoy Chinese New Year Painting At Mianzhu

New Year Painting is one of the most important Chinese traditions. It’s a kind of Wood Block Painting which past on walls and doors during New Spring Festival.
Mianzhu new year painting is one of the main four new year paintings of China. I love Mianzhu New Year Painting very much. And hope it can recover quickly from the damage of WenChuan Earthquake.

Say Goodbye To My Second Hometown After WenChuan Earthquake

When you see this post, I already back to my second hometown, HanWang.
HanWang was a world famous town now, because it was totally destroyed by WenChuan earthquake on 12 May 2008. Thousands of my neighbors died there.
Tomorrow was the last chance I could enter my parents’ house, which was badly damaged. So I booked the plane back to SiChuan. I couldn’t miss the last chance to say goodbye to my second hometown.

Visiting MianZhu, 30 Days After WenChuan Earthquake

The WenChuan earthquake has left at least 69,159 people dead already. Among all the cities in disaster area, MianZhu is in the worst situation with 11,098 people dead. (Data update to 12:00am 12 June, 2008)
We went to Mianzhu with some relief supplies the day before yesterday. Tried to find if there is still something we can help to those poor villages around.

Qingyang Gong Taoist Temple Became Our Rescue Storehouse

I arrived Chengdu at May 15, Three days after WenChuan earthquake in China.
Then I started my work as a personal volunteer—— Organized relief supplies supplied by my friends from different cities, And sent them to the urgent need disaster area with the help of different volunteer teams.
It’s the third part of relief supplies from my Guangzhou friends.
Many thanks to Taoist Yunhe from Qingyang Gong Taoist Temple, he helped me send these relief supplies directly to the disaster area such as MianZhu,ShiFang, DuJiangYan, QiangChuan etc.

Back To My Hometown After WenChuan Earthquake

I went back HanWang four days after WenChuan earthquake.
The clock at the entrance of the town was damaged by earthquake, It pointed to 14:28 pm forever.
Let’s remember this moment.
