I bought a lot of souvenirs at Barkhor Street Lhasa. Most of them were small gifts to my friends. I only left few for myself.
I love these Tibetan souvenirs, They are so beautiful, And cheap too.

My friend RenQing is a Tibetan. He knew where could I buy real Tibetan treasures on the Barkhor Street. He also suggested me bought at least one of Three Treasures.
“They can aviod evil and bring good luck.” He said seriously.

It’s only 20 minutes’ walk from my hotel to Barkhor Street. I went there almost everyday when I was lived in Lhasa.
I think it’s the most comprehensive place of Tibet. You can meet Living-Buddhas or beggars, religious pilgrims or thieves there, You also find the most rare precious stone or cheapest counterfeits there too.

The Potala Palace is the highest palace in the word. It is the headquarters of the Dalai Lama, and a treasure house of traditional Tibetan culture. Yeah, It’s the first must-visit highlight of Tibet.

Visiting the Potala Palace need some physical force. It was built on Red Mountain in the centre of Lhasa Valley (3,700m above sea level),And you need climb up about 170 meters’ steps to visit it.

We cost 2 days from Everest Base Camp(5200m above sea level) back to Lhasa（3650m above sea level).
The landscape along this road is specially wonderful and diverse. That’s the part of charm of Qingzang Altiplano, the Roof of the World.

When I was waiting for the admittance at Everest TuoLong Core Zone Administrative Station, Somebody asked me:” Do you want the sea creatures fossils of Himalayas?”
Sea creatures fossils? They could be sold as normal merchandise?

We reached the Everest Base Camp by cross country vehicle. But I didn’t want my trip over like this. Maybe I could climb up more higher?
Together with two members of our team, I started out!

It’s the seventh day since we arrived Tibet.
After a night’s rest near Rongbuk Monastery, I was already seasoned with the altitude (5200 meters above the sea leavel). And I found it’s so easy to reach the Everest Base Camp by cross country vehicle.
But was it a good news?

We left Kanola Glacier and kept on climbing the moutain. Not faraway from the 5036 metres Kanola mountain pass, We met a group of workers who were busy building the road on Qingzang Altiplano.
We felt so hard to breathe at such altitude, But they worked so hard.
It’s a kind of most awesome working scene I ever saw.

Nyetang Buddha(Niedang Buddha) was the first buddha I visited in Tibet.
It’s said Nyetang Buddha can not only bless you, but also can help you resist Altitude sickness.
