When I was a little child, Movie was one of important channel for me to know the outside world. Thank my parents, They gave me the chances of going to the cinema at least one time a week with their poor imcome then. From then on, Many places where those stories happend in classic movies became my destinations of travel.

I traveled to Amiens because of Jules Verne. And I gain a lot.
It’s great to see these science fiction(sci-fi) models made by Jules Verne. They are all exhibited inside his house at Amiens.
Though they were made more than 100 years ago, Some of them still not realized today.
1. Aircrafts
Jules Verne had made many kinds of flying machine models. One of the most famous aircraft is Albatros ( Robur the Conqueror, 1886), It looks like a flying sailing-ship. It has scores of vertical propellers instead of sails or wings.

Jules Verne International Center was a place must-see in Amiens.
I was gald to see many drafts on his desk, many posts about his stories 100 years ago. And I was not surprised to see a small room decorated as a cab. That’s Jules Verne’s dream.

Bulit in 1872, This is the house Jules Verne has been living for 18 years.
I think it looks too modern, Like the building of 21 century.

I saw a postcard of master Jules Verne’s grave long time before. Never forgot the figure of him emerging from the tomb.
But the girl working in Amiens Tourist Center told me she had no idea about master’s grave.

AT called me yesterday. he invited me to write a 6-pages article about a town of France for Magazine, A famous magazine focus on elite gentleman in mainland China.
“You can begin with the town you like most. Which town you like most? Avignon? “he asked.
No, It’s Amiens, Absolutely.
