We cost 2 days from Everest Base Camp(5200m above sea level) back to Lhasa(3650m above sea level).
The landscape along this road is specially wonderful and diverse. That’s the part of charm of Qingzang Altiplano, the Roof of the World.

Everest Base Camp Was So Crowded

It’s the seventh day since we arrived Tibet.
After a night’s rest near Rongbuk Monastery, I was already seasoned with the altitude (5200 meters above the sea leavel). And I found it’s so easy to reach the Everest Base Camp by cross country vehicle.
But was it a good news?

Children Of The Highest Elementary School In This World

It’s 4600 meters height above sea level. ZhaXiZong Elementary School(扎西宗中心小学) is obviously the highest school in this world.
I was deeply affected by Tibetan children’s simplicity and enjoyment.

Something About Into Thin Air

It’s the name of book written by Jon Krakauer. The Full name is Into Thin Air: A Personal Account of the Mt. Everest Disaster.Before I climbed the Haba snow mountain in October 2003, I brought this book. It was recommend by a famous enterpriser named Wangshi. We went Haba snow mountain together with him. Wangshi reached the peak of the Everest early that year. He said this was the best reading if you want know something about snow mountain adventure.

Rongbuk Monastery Travel Guide

Rongbuk Monastery is only about 8 km. (4.97 mi.) to the Everest Base Camp, It’s just on the way travelers visite the Everest. There are a white pagoda and a Mani Stone pile in front of the monastery , It’s the best foreground to take photographs of Everest.
