AT called me yesterday. he invited me to write a 6-pages article about a town of France for Magazine, A famous magazine focus on elite gentleman in mainland China.
“You can begin with the town you like most. Which town you like most? Avignon? “he asked.
No, It’s Amiens, Absolutely.

I wrote many different travel reports to different magazines before. But I still not talk about Amiens. I always feel hard to express my feeling about it.

It’s such a small town many people even not hear about it before. But you should know Jules Verne, He is my hero and the first reason I visited Amiens.

My dear brother Barnabe had studied in Amiens for a year. He was the first group of Chinses student there. But he said I must be the first Chinese visiter of Amiens. I hope so:)

People love Provence-Cote-d’Azur of France, It’s full of sunshine, lavender and colorful earth. Amiens is different. It’s 2-hours train north to Paris, seldom to see the sunlight. and few people like travel to this kind of place. This gives Amiens a quite environment. I think it’s the part of reason Jules Verne love it.

Amiens has some the UNESCO World Heritage Sites and great views, Such as Amiens Cathedral(Cathédrale Notre-Dame d’Amiens),But the most funny game to me is looking for Jules Verne’s footprint.
