If Dachshund Leo Know That Bad News

iWalk 2 June 2009 31 Comments

It’s a normal day today.
But there was a not normal news about dog killing: 20000 dogs were killed to for rabies prevention within few days in HanZhong, ShanXi, China. Such things happened several times before. There are so many good ways to settle this problem, But why they have to do this? Are they real human?

I don’t know if you want see such terrible photos, But I still add the link here: How they killed dogs in Yang Xian county, Hanzhong, ShanXi, China.

I can say nothing about these photos.

I hope my dachshund Leo will never know such bad news.

My Leo eats CANIDAE’s “Lamb Meal & Brown Rice Formula” now. But he looks thinner than in photo.
How about your Chester? PLS help me hug him. :P

Ahh I used to feed Chester Canidae but not anymore. This brand makes his skin very flaky. Now I’m feeding him Eagle Pack. I’m going to change to a new brand again. Haha. Okay I will hug him for you. :)

I could not even bring myself to look at the photos, I prefer instead to remember the cute little face of your Leo. Are rabies shots not mandatory there? There are here so we have much fewer dogs who contract it.

Dear lala, I think you catch the point! If they can manage the rabies shots well, I think those dogs needn’t die. That’s the problem of human, Not doggies. :(

    Dear JH,其实欧美国家的狗狗数量比我们的更多,但是他们的完善和人性化的管理制度,让问题解决得很好。我们则是没有管理,但一旦几只狗狗出了问题,所有的狗狗都要被这样杀死。

    So, it’s problem of human.

It does happen all the time though. Have you seen the film Earthlings? It is a very upsetting video that tells the truth about how animals are treated in our society.

So sad. Rabies shots are mandated in the US. I wish you had that sort of “prevention program” there rather than a slaughter.

You are quite right Heather Dugan, I just not understand why they can’t study the good example. There are more dogs in America than in China, but your people manage all things quite well.
