Waiting For A Big Snow In BeiJing’s Coolest Days
It’s nine blow outside.
According to the old chinese tradition, We start counting nine “Nine days” after Winter Solstice. It’s right “the Third Nine days”, the Coolest days in a year.

BeiJing’s winter only has grey and brown colors, Snow always let me feel so happy.
I took these pictures at the first big snow day in the campus of Peking University last winter. Many of my colleagues gave up work and walked out to celebrate the big snow that day.
But it still not snow this winter. I am still waiting for that.

Hello my friend,
Very nice photo! Although our countries are seperated and far away from each other, we have the same type of scenery with the bycicles covered with snow and ice.
China and my native country Holland are the two countries with a large amount of bicycles! Very funny!

Great! So bicycles are part of our life!
But I could never image that so many bicycles in Holland before! I only worried about if the water of Amsterdam will be frozen in winter.

Welcome to Beijing, aviques09.
Yeah, 13th to 17th January 2010 is cold season of Beijing, Yeah, You have chance to play with snow in Beijing.
But if you can visit Beijing around 12th to 15 Feb 2010, You can see more traditional things of this nation. That’s the Chinese new spring festival, The most important festival of Chinese.

Yeah, Welcome to Beijing, My friend.
But as I know, Because it’s too dry in winter, Beijing has few snow these years.
But if you want play with snow, Just visit some places at northern of Beijing. You can even go farther to Ha’erbin(哈尔滨), the best city to enjoy ice and snow.
If you don’t want go so faraway, You can try to visit some wild Great Wall around Beijing, I think you can meet big snow there too!
