You know – I had no idea there were so few functioning monorails in the world. I lived in Sydney for around three years and caught the monorail everytime I went into the city (though I don’t remeber it being that expensive even on a day pass – must be inflation!)

I live on the Gold Coast and there’s a monorail that runs through Broadbeach – mainly runs for the Jupiter’s Casino patrons these days I think.

“So it becomes one of Sydney’s icons.” Disneyland too! Haha.

Seems kind of expensive, but its a different experience. Since there are so few public monorails in the world it’s worth a try.
