How To Get Inside The Olympic Games With Google Maps
Google not only updated their satellite imagery of Beijing, added detailed bilingual maps of China, but also created a collection of 3D stadiums. It has really done a good deed for all people want a inside travel to BeiJing and 2008 Summer Olympic Games.
Recently, Google offered this 2008 Beijing Olympics Google Map. Okay, Let’s see how it works:
2008 Beijing Olympics is not a simple map, It includes updates information about the 2008 Olympic Games on the right siderbar.

1. Medal Tab
You can just click on the ‘Medals’ tab and zoom or pan the map to track medal counts updates around the world. Clicking on a country or region will display medal information as it’s received.
2. Events Tab
Use the ‘Events’ tab to view the latest schedules by date, country, and sport. All data–including country and region participants, sport results, and medal counts–is provided through an official feed from the World News Press Agency (WNPA).
3. Stadiums Tab
It’s a way to view sports stadiums and venues in 3D. You can also be able to preview the venue information and 3D fly-through videos within the map.

The way you’ve presented the map is very helpful and useful. I wonder if you can look through the Olympics in Google street view. Apparently the security is so high there are very few people around; I guess you’d get a good view with no one in the way.

I was also told there is 570 meters prepense error in this Google map, In case of using by terrorists.
