Sagrada Familia, Antoni Gaudi’s Unfinished Masterpiece

I couldn’t express my heartquaking feeling when I standed at the feet of the . Everything seemed so insignificant in the presence of ’s unfinished masterpiece.

The Temple Expiatori de la (simply ) ,one of , is ’s most important landmark. Though started from 1882, Construction of still not finished. It hopes will continue at least until 2041. The 5th generation architects are working hard on it now.

Since take over the project in 1883, had devoted his life to . The huge project always met the deficit threatens problem. In order to raise funds, Master devoted all of his fortune, and became the main apostle of the construction, and tirelessly explained it to everybody. He even personally went out to the street to raise funds.

died in June the 10th, 1926 in . His funeral was attended by crowds of people, and his body was buried in the crypt of as people’s claim.

I’m always moved by this story. And I know why is so heartquaking, That’s the spirit of , The spirit of .
