Shopping Season Of Andorra
I think some of my clients were attacked by the advertisings that Andorra was a tax free area. Yeah, It’s economy mainly depend on tourism and its status as a tax haven.
Andorra is not a full member of the European Union, but it’s being treated as an EU member for trade in manufactured goods (no tariffs) and as a non-EU member for agricultural products.
January, February and July is Andorra’s best season for shopping. In Andorra la Vella, there are hundreds “tax free shops” , especially along main street called Avinguda Meritxell.
They said it’s goods almost at the same price as in France or Spain now, Maybe it’s true. Electronics are know in a good price all year, but I can’t find the new generation productions there.
That’s the only thing I brought at Andorra was a package of Drum Rolling Tobacco, with only third price as it in France. It’s great!
But I feel a little disappointed Andorra has not it’s own tobacco brand even though Tobacco was a very important part of it’s agriculture.
