Mulberry Harbours
From the beach of you can see the rests of the allied harbour. It was built to unload the the soldiers necessary in D-Day. The allies built two harbors called Mulberry Harbours, but the one in Omaha beach was destroyed two weeks after the D-Day, while Port Winston is still visible.

Port Winston
The harbour consists of 146 large thick cases of cement transported from England and absorbed to form a semicircular dike to which some afloat bridges were anchored. Within three months after to the D-Day, This harbour disembarked 2.5 million of men, 4 tons of equipment and 400000 vehicles.
The best sight is see it from the top of the hill.
