Calvados
Grapes don’t grow well in Normandy. But apples do, and it’s famous for Calvados in France. The Calvados is very strong, It is customary to drink on some celebration party.

It’s the place where you can feel you are in the war Open.
Shows 7 days a week (2 shows at 10 and 40 minutes past every hour) ;
June, July, August : from 9.40am to 6.40pm ;
April, May, September, October : from 10.10am to 17.40pm
Februry and December : from 10.10am to 4.40pm ;
March and November : from 10.10am to 5.10pm
Prices : adults : 3,70 € / children (10-18 years old) : 3,30 € / student and OAPs: 3,30 € / Under 10s and WWII veterans: free.
D-DAY BEACHES
It’s where the history was made. We saw it many times in film, But it’s worth walk around these beaches and immerse yourself in history.
Mulberry Harbours
From the beach of Arromanches you can see the rests of the allied harbour. It was built to unload the the soldiers necessary in D-Day. The allies built two harbors called Mulberry Harbours, but the one in Omaha beach was destroyed two weeks after the D-Day, while Port Winston is still visible.
Port Winston
The harbour consists of 146 large thick cases of cement transported from England and absorbed to form a semicircular dike to which some afloat bridges were anchored. Within three months after to the D-Day, This harbour disembarked 2.5 million of men, 4 tons of equipment and 400000 vehicles.
The best sight is see it from the top of the hill.
